Homeless To Harvard
The film " Homeless To Harvard" was a very interesting film. If someone would've told me this story and I've never the seen the movie or heard of this story I would've never believed them. I would think that this is so impossible and there's no way you could be homeless all your life then all of a sudden get a scholarship to get into Harvard. It seems so unrealistic, but now that I watched it and understood the process it took for her to get to where she is, it makes more sense to me now. It's kind of sad how her mom died. I wouldn't have expected her mom to die because of aids. This tells that if a homeless woman with no support from her family for her to succeed, I shouldn't have no type of excuse to not be successful. It also gives me another reason to not do drugs or go near any type of drug. My favorite part of this film was when her friend tried to bring her down and instead of Liz Murray going down with her and becoming homeless again she decided to get her friend to be successful with her. Her friend didn't want to go to school or anything. That was my favorite part of the film because she was maturing and she knew what she wanted to do and what she had to be successful. Even though she came out of an unstable home, she still focused and worked hard to be successful. I admire her most for that.

I agree on your favorite part because you shouldn't let your friends decide on how you live your life you should live your life the way you want and you should do it yourself.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree, I would have never believed anyone if they told me her story either. It's not something that happens in the kind of world we live in. Also that was a good part of the movie. She could have easily fallen back into the ways of her past because of how easy it would have been, but she remained focused on the bigger picture.
ReplyDeleteWELL I AGREE WITH YOUR FAVORITE PART TOO. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS BE YOURSELF AND LET NO ONE STAND IN THE WAY OF YOUR GOALS AND WHAT YOU WANT TO DO IN LIFE. JUST BE YOU.
ReplyDeleteI also agree that her story sounds unreal but it is very amazing how she actually succeeded. I think that movie is very inspirational for anyone.
ReplyDeletei agree with your favorite part of the movie. With her friend not wanting to go to school with her it didnt stop her from going. Just because your friend didnt want to be successful in life doesnt mean you have to be the same way. Liz was dedicated and she deserved going to Harvard.
ReplyDeleteI agree that if i have never seen the movie i wouldn't believe the story. Its a unbelievable success story that is very inspirational. I woulnt believe anyone would have the determination to keep moving forward.
