Importance of Scholarships
Scholarships are important because it gives you a better opportunity at success. You don't have to pay for college, and it benefits you pretty well. The fact that college costs a lot more than they use to, scholarships are very helpful. The economy stinks and your parents have no money for you to attend college, scholarships could help you get there. You just have to find the right scholarship that fits your interest. When you get loans and stuff you have to try and pay those loans off, but why do that when you have the ability and opportunity to get a scholarship? There are students right now who are working extremely long hours trying to bust their butt to pay for college and are overly tired in the process. Applying for scholarships is an easier way for you to still get into college and not having to work those long hours just to pay for college. Loans are helpful as well but they come with a drawback. You eventually are going to have to pay those loans off and it might be harder than you think. Grants and scholarships come in handy and could help you in so many ways by paying fees and tuition. I'm going to apply for scholarships and grants and see what happens.

Reflection Blog
A). What I have left to do?:
- Bring up my SAT score
- Bring up my GPA
- Start applying for colleges that I want to go to
- I have to take the ACT because I haven't took it yet
I have many colleges I want to attend but most of them require a higher GPA grade and require a higher SAT score. These tasks will get accomplished somehow this summer or in the Fall of 2015. I don't have an exact dates yet.
C). Academically Am I Where I Need To Be?:
Academically I am where I need to be but I'm not where I want to be and I have to find a way to get there. This is accurate because my grades are not how I want them and I imagined them. My grades are really good but I'm not satisfied with them. I feel as if I can do better because I have the ability to do better and I'm going to get this all accomplished by time graduation in 2016 arrive.
D). Are these colleges really the ones for me or do I need to modify my research?:
I think two of these colleges are really not for me but I also think I need to do more research on where else I want to go and where it's a good program for my future career as well. The reason why is because I feel like there are more colleges with better opportunities and with less requirements to get into. However, I believe I have what it takes to get there and be successful in the process. I will progress and make success and I'll do whatever it takes to get there.

College Degree vs U.S School Systems
A college degree is necessary and worth the cost simply because it has a benefit for you getting a descent job to make descent money. Most people can't receive jobs without any type of education anyway. So having a college degree is necessary because not only do it prove that you have extended your education but it always proves that you are capable of a professional job in the particular field. Having college degrees is an open door to a bigger and better life in your future. 70% of Americans don't have a college degree and that's not good at all. More students should try extending there education to become successful in life or at anything that they do. Its worth it in time, social and economic success. Its worth it in social success because you get the chance to show how well you work with people. Time proves that you took the time to do something productive in your life.
I would rate the U.S school system to the extreme only because their grades and everything with college degrees and etc run differently. For instance, in Somalia which is in northeast of Africa and very small they only have 35 Universities there and doesn't take much for them to get into a university. They don't need scholarships or anything. They don't even have to pay for some of the Universities. Their grading scale is way different from the U.S grading scale. They universities are really small so the professors actually take their time to help them and explain any type of assignment that is give. So I believe the school system in the U.S is very extreme compared to Somalia.

My Spring Break
My Spring Break was fun and boring at the same time. From Friday, March 6th to Sunday, March 8th was boring like I literally didn't do anything but eat and sleep. On Monday, March 9th to Sunday, March 15th was extremely mainly because I got to spend some of the break with my dad. We ate, laughed, watched movies, played our favorite game of Phase 10 and got on each others nerves. Then afterwards of course I got to hang out with my boyfriend and get on his nerves the last couple of days. Then I spent time with my mom and got my hair done. Then on Saturday, March 14th I took my SAT. The test was extremely hard on the math section. The reading and language section was easy. I don't feel to good about how the scores will come out but I pray that they are good. Other than that my spring break was okay.

Poetry & One's Self
1). The most influential leader I've ever had would be my mother, father and grandpa and the reason why they influence me so much is because they know whatever I have my mind set for I'm able and capable of doing it. For instance, my mother she gives me plenty of reasons of why I should want to be successful and make a good image and have a good life going for myself. My dad pushes me and expects the best and the most from me. He gives me reasons of why I should want to pursue my dreams and make them all come true. My grandpa he pushes me financially and work wise because we both have a passion for money so he shows how to keep my life in order financially so they all influence me with something in my life whether its the same thing or not they still influence me and fill my head up with positive things.
2). Mr. Keatings is basically saying what you should live for and he's saying you live for beauty, romance and love these are the things that makes and keeps you happy. Medicine, law and business feel like things would stress you if there was a comparison involved. I most definitely agree with this because it's absolutely true.
3). I agree with him because its true when your on top it's a better view and you can see and visual the same things but from different points of view. I don't think I have a time where I saw something from a different perspective but I'm sure if I did it would something great to visualize.
Dead Poets Society
1). Neil would have still committed suicide even if Mr. Keating haven't came into his life because his dad was still controlling and trying take over Neil's life as if it was his own which I believe is not right. Neil had to much stress and things on his heart and he was just tired of the mistreatment he was getting from his dad.
2). The bravest of Mr. Keatings boys was Charlie because most things he didn't care about and he was never scared to do anything. He was just that brave. Cameron was the coward because he was always afraid to do alot of things and when he did he felt guilty about the things that he did or the things he would've done.
3). Mr. Keating gave the book to Neil because he knew he was having a hard time and he was helping him out. So no he didn't put it there he gave it to him.

Follow Up Character Questions
1). In your own opinion , which character is transformed the most through his experiences in the film ? Explain and support your argument with specific proof.
- Todd was a character that transformed the most through his experiences in the film because at first he was pretty quiet and shy and didn't say much. Then he became friends with Neil and the other guys.
2). Which characters are static in nature, meaning they do not change in the film. Explain your reasoning
- I would have though Cameron was a character that was static in nature and he didn't change in the film and the reason for this is because he was the type of person who always wanted to do the right thing whether if he's telling on somebody or something he never wanted to go beyond any rules.
3). What kind of character is Mr. Keating ? Is he changed by his experience in the film ? Why or why not ?
- Mr. Keating is more of a influencing character because he always influenced the boys to do the right thing that's why they loved him so much. He never doubted them and he never gave them reasons to give up at all. He pushed them and made them pushed themselves.
4). Todd: His fear would be the fact that he would make no friends. When he met Mr. Keating and Neil that's when things changed for him. Neil was his first friend and Mr. Keating helped him overcome many things starting with his fear.
Neil: Neil's fear was his father. His father didn't give him many options to do what he wanted with his life. His father wanted to control his life. His father was cruel and mean.
Knox: He was obsessed with romanticism. He fell in love with this girl named Chris which was a very pretty girl and he really liked him and wanted to be with her. He was afraid that he would never find another girl like her that actually likes him.
Charlie: He was the type of guy who didn't have a fear and he felt as if he could do what he wants when he wants and however he wants to. He claims he is the leader of the group and he thinks he runs just about everything.
